Nickel stuck in cd player of 2004 saturn ion. now, clock and radio stations cleared out. radio turns on & off?

radio is turning on and off while driving. set stations wiped out. clock reset to midnight, like clocks in the house when you lose power. a nickel was shoved in there by a child and also hit a huge bump couple of days ago. no major problems until the big bump. can't afford to go to dealership. any way to fix this ourselves? someone said the nickel can destroy entire electrical system of car. need help asap. well yes its shorting out the radio ... can you see it tweezers it... or remove radio and shake it out... and never go to any dealer unless there no other shops open... sorry but they sell cars they not much good for fixing them sorry but most of the time they are young guys who know little and they are the highest place to get work done
you need to have that radio removed and opened to remove that nickle. it will ruin your radio.
