its because of interference with he signal, you need to find a spot for the radio where it has a really good signal that wont be messed up by anyone walking by it or walking away from it.
maybe you are pulling in the frequency with your body...
at certain times of days the stations change the frequency so they don't interfere with each other. the shape of the soundwaves is different, depending on what the shape is, the signal is stronger or weaker
You are basically becoming an antenna. Sometimes the antenna that is you, helps the station you are listenig to and sometimes it interferes with it.
